COVID 19 Statement and Policy

Initial Statement

This document is for the purpose of updating and communicating Teenage Mental Health’s Policies, Assessment for service continuity and procedures for remaining open during the global pandemic (COVID-19).
 
This Document will remain fluid and under regular review to ensure it remains updated for Teenage Mental Health’s commitment and responsibility for the health and safety of Patients, Employees and the general public. Remaining actively compliant with Government legislation and instruction during the Pandemic.

As a Key Service provider, Teenage Mental Health will remain open and available for existing and new patients. For Teenage Mental Health to achieve this, some additions to our standard terms and conditions will be in place that must be read prior to your first or next appointment.

COVID Disaster Planning and Procedures.
 
Risk Reduction and Mitigation Measures Agreed as of 25.09.2020

1: Cleaning to continue on an hourly basis in the centre. (Schedules and listed requirements for cleaning are visibly posted and signed following each clean.)
2: Visitors asked to hand sanitise on arrival to the centre
3: Visitors to wear a face mask at their discretion
4: Staff to wear Visors/face masks at their discretion
5: Staff to wipe down rooms as and when needed
6: Social distancing at all times to be observed
7: Staff to spray room between patients with Biocidal spray
8: Contactless Temperature checks for all entering site.
 
Additional measures if infection rates start to rise in our area:
 
1: We will not be closing the centre
2: Cleaning Schedule to continue and have a regular review.
3: Visitors asked to hand sanitise on arrival to the centre and when leaving.
4: Visitors to wear a face mask
5: Staff to wear face shields when seeing patients
6: All patients to be asked to wear face coverings during sessions
7: If a patient is unable to wear a face-covering the therapist to wear one in addition to their face shield.
8: Hand sanitisers in rooms to be offered for use to patients during sessions
9:  Staff to sanitise hands before and after sessions or when using communal areas
10: Contactless Temperature checks for all entering site.
11: Face Masks and hand Sanitiser are available on site for patients, employees or visitors
 
Local Lockdown and Staff or Patients having to isolate:

In the event of local lockdown, we will not be closing the centre. Staff or patients may not be able or wish to attend the centre. We at Teenage Mental health remain committed to our patients and the support services we provide. We will therefore provide you sessions via Phone/video call sessions in the short term during a lockdown or
for when following government advice or legislation for isolating. This is an enactment of our original disaster planning strategy which was rolled out during March’s lockdown.

Update to Terms and Condition relating to COVID-19
 
If in the event a member of your household has to self-isolate or we are in a local/national
lockdown.
 
1: Teenage Mental Health will continue to do video calls to those self-isolating. This means you will not miss a session.
2: If one of our staff will need to isolate, they will still be available to phone or video call the client from their home, there is no need to come into our centre if your therapist is isolating. 
3: If you cancel, move an appointment due to self-isolation or lockdown:
3a: Teenage Mental Health’s standard terms and conditions for Fee’s and Payment remain applicable.
3b: Teenage Mental Health can and will continue to provide its services as we are recognised as a KEY service provider. As set and explained within this document, teenage mental health has taken all reasonable and appropriate action to continue services.
4: Discontinuing services
4a: Teenage Mental Health’s standard terms and conditions for Fee’s and Payment regarding ending therapy remain applicable.
4b: Teenage Mental Health can and will continue to provide its services as we are recognised as a KEY service provider. As set and explained within this document, Teenage Mental Health has taken all reasonable and appropriate action to continue services.
5: In exceptional circumstances, we may be able to review those standard terms and
conditions, but this will remain at Teenage Mental Health’s discretion.
 
Final Statement

Upon making an appointment you are confirming you have read, understood and are in agreement of all of Teenage Mental Health’s terms and conditions, policies, including those set within this document.
